Stihl MS261 C-M Chainsaw
Designed with a Stihl 2-MIX two-stroke engine, the Stihl MS261C-M also boasts the M-Tronic Engine Management for excellent running performance. The 2-MIX Stihl 2-stroke engine offers up to 20% lowers fuel consumption with up to 50% lower exhaust emissions compared to a standard Stihl two-stroke engine.
The Stihl M Tronic Engine Management system ensures optimum engine performance with constant speed and excellent acceleration in all working conditions. This fully electronic engine management system takes into consideration the external conditions such as temperature, altitude and fuel quality and will adjust the fuel metering and ignition timing to give constant engine performance. Cold and warm start recognition mean there is only one start position for the combi lever.
Built with a large 18″ cutting bar and chain, the Stihl MS 261 C-M chain saw comes fitted with the lightweight and robust Light 04 guide bar which offers excellent performance and balance. The saw also features a .325″ Rapid Super Pro chainsaw chain for excellent cutting capabilities making this chainsaw perfect for the more demanding user for forestry work and felling small to medium sizes trees. The RS Pro saw chain offers 20% more improved cutting performance than the RS saw chain, thanks to its narrower kerf.
The Stihl MS 261 C-M comes fitted with an easy clean HD2 air filer which prolongs the life of the chainsaw. The Stihl HD2 air filter is made from a polyethylene material which has up to 70% finer pores than a standard fleece air filter, while being water and oil repellent. A variable oil pump allows you to control the flow of the chain oil dependant on what wood is being cut.
Stihl ElastoStart is featured on the MS261C_m saw which provides easy starting by reducing the shock caused by the compression of the engine during starting. Captive nuts are fitted to the side sprocket cover to eliminate the risk of losing the nuts from the sprocket while the tension of the chainsaw chain is easily adjusted on the side casing removing the need for contact with the sharp chain.
