Designed with professional users in mind, the Stihl MS400.1C-M petrol chainsaw has the best power to weight ratio in the 60cc class of chainsaws. Offering excellent power and performance, the MS400.1C-M has been re-developed and is an outstanding chainsaw suitable for a range of forestry work, especially over long periods of time.

Featuring a powerful 62.6cc 2-Mix engine which offers 3.9kW power output, the Stihl 2-Mix engine uses the 1-in-4 channel technology to provide a higher torque over a wide speed range. With an increased torque output of 4.3Nm which means the chainsaw is less pressure sensitive and is less likely to bog down during cuts.

The 2-Mix engine also provides fuel savings of up to 20% compared to a standard 2 stroke engine, while emissions are reduced by up to 50% for a cleaner running experience. The larger HD2 filter is featured on the MS400.1C-M chainsaw, with pores that are 70% finer than a fleece air filter. The HD2 filter is made up from polyethylene filter material which is also oil and water repellent making it very easy clean.

ElastoStart is featured on this chainsaw providing easy starting, the shock in the the compression is taken away from the users joints and muscles by a spring or rubber element in the starter handle. A decompression valve is also present on the MS400.1C-M chainsaw to reduce the compression pressure when starting. The valve is manually pressed before starting and then automatically closed when the saw is started.

M-Tronic technology on the MS 400.1 C-M is a fully electronic engine management which adjusts the engine automatically. It takes into consideration the fuel quality, temperature and altitude and adjusts the engine to ensure consistent performance, maximum speed and superb acceleration every time. The M-Tronic makes automatic carburettor adjustments when necessary.

A variable displacement oil pump allows for precise oil delivery dependent on the job in hand., this can easily be adjusted on the job with a combi spanner. Captive nuts on the sprocket reduce the risk of losing the nuts. To tension the chain with ease and without the need to have contact with the chain, the tensioning screw is located on the side of the sprocket cover.Specification
