Offering high power performance for demanding users, the MS400.1 C-M chainsaw offers the best power to weight ratio in the 60cc class of chainsaws. Built with professionals in mind, this 62.6cc chainsaw provides more torque while being 500g lighter than its predecessor, the MS400C-M.

Offering a high power output of 3.9kW, the 2-Mix engine on the MS400.1C-M gives more torque thanks to the 1 in 4 channel technology. The 2-Mix engine also provides better fuel consumption and reduces exhaust emissions compared to a standard 2 stroke engine.

The Stihl MS400.1C-M petrol chainsaw boasts a M-Tronic engine which manages the engine so it always performs to its optimum. The M-Tronic system takes into consideration the external conditions such as the fuel quality, temperature and altitude and electronically adjusts the carb settings to suit and provide consistent engine performance. Upon starting the chainsaw, the M-Tronic can recognise a cold or warm start so there is only one start position needed for the combi lever, the chainsaw does the thinking for you for easy starting every time.

Delivering optimum performance every time, the MS400.1C-M features an improved HD2 filter which is made from polyethylene material with very fine pores to trap even fine dust. The polyethylene material is water and oil repellent and easy to clean, providing a long life and can easily be removed without the need for tools with the quick release lock. Sharpening the chain on the MS 400C_M is so easy with the tensioning screw on the side of the chainsaw through the sprocket cover so there is no need for contact with the chain.

With easy starting every time, the MS400.1C-M features ElastoStart which reduces the shock upon pulling the recoil and also boasts a decompression valve, to reduce the compression pressure when starting, this reduced the effort needed to pull the start rope. The decompression valve is semi-automatic, it need to be manually pressed before starting but automatically closes once the saw is started.

Captive nuts on the sprocket reduce the risk of losing the nuts. To tension the chain with ease and without the need to have contact with the chain, the tensioning screw is located on the side of the sprocket cover. A variable displacement oil pump allows for precise oil delivery dependent on the job in hand., this can easily be adjusted on the job with a combi spanner.Specification
