Description

The STIHL KMA 80 R is the first battery-powered KombiMotor in the AK System of garden tools, designed for use in home gardens. Powered by a 36-volt lithium-ion battery, it operates quietly and efficiently while delivering enough power to handle a wide variety of garden tasks, including pruning, trimming, mowing, clearing, and cutting.

This KombiMotor is compatible with all KombiTools (except the FSB-KM), making it incredibly versatile. Attaching and changing tools is simple—just insert your chosen tool into the shaft and tighten to secure it in place.

The KMA 80 R features a new ergonomic loop handle with a quick-mounting system, allowing you to adjust it to your height for an ergonomic working position. This handle is perfect for tasks on slopes, around trees, or on uneven terrain, enhancing comfort and ease of use.

A powerful brushless EC motor provides reliable performance, and the speed-adjustment on the control handle includes two modes:

• ECO mode (Level 1): Ideal for light tasks such as trimming lawn edges, offering lower energy consumption for extended battery life.
• Full Speed mode (Level 2): Suitable for demanding tasks like clearing leaves, delivering more power when needed.

The speed can also be adjusted infinitely depending on the KombiTool attached, ensuring maximum versatility.

The KMA 80 R works with any AK battery, although runtimes vary based on the attached tool and battery type. The recommended AK 30 battery provides the longest working times, though smaller-capacity batteries may be preferable for extended tasks like hedge trimming due to their lighter weight.
