The STIHL HLA 140 K-B is a powerful cordless long-reach hedge trimmer built for professional landscapers, gardeners and grounds maintenance teams. This short-shaft version of the HLA140 offers improved control in tighter spaces while still delivering exceptional reach and cutting performance. Lightweight, low-vibration and quiet in operation, it’s ideal for all-day use in noise-sensitive environments such as residential areas, parks and roadside maintenance.

Powered by a 36V lithium-ion battery, the HLA 140K-B is perfectly balanced to reduce fatigue during prolonged work. The ergonomic control handle features variable speed control with three blade speed settings (3,200, 3,600 and 4,000 rpm), allowing you to match performance to the task. The efficient EC motor delivers rapid blade acceleration for clean, precise cuts, and the tool is comfortable for both left and right handed users.

With an overall length of 214 cm (50 cm shorter than the standard HLA 140), this compact long-reach hedge trimmer offers excellent manoeuvrability while remaining ideal for tall and wide hedges. The 60 cm (24”) laser-cut, double-sided, diamond-ground blades are friction-optimised for high cutting performance, long-lasting sharpness and extended battery runtime. The cutter head adjusts through up to 145°, making it easy to tackle hedges from virtually any angle. An integrated anti-lock function automatically reverses the blades if they become jammed, helping you clear thicker branches quickly.

For transport and storage, the cutting head folds flat, reducing the total length to just 158 cm. The HLA 140 K is also IPX4 rated, allowing reliable use in wet and rainy conditions.
