Description
If you’re seeking a faster and more convenient method for cutting grass and weeds around obstacles or between rows, the Orec RMK151 features a distinctive design tailored for professionals working in vineyards and orchards. Its precise mowing capabilities ensure the safe care of valuable crops by effectively eliminating grass and weeds that compete for water and nutrients.
The Rabbit RMK151 is highly agile and fast, thanks to its compact size and low centre of gravity. It can easily navigate uneven ground or areas with hollows, with the front pivoting axle providing smooth and secure movement. The 135cm cutter deck is equipped with a central blade, along with swing tip blades at both ends that retract when they come into contact with obstacles. The two floating steel knives can also handle shrubs up to 30mm thick.
The side wing expands the cutting width to 150cm. This retractable wing is fitted with four nylon cutting cords designed to mow grass and weeds at the base of the stem, around obstacles, trees, or crop rows. A horizontal foam wheel, which serves as rubber protection, prevents damage to plant trunks during mowing. The outer wing extension retracts automatically upon contact with an obstacle or by pressing and releasing the control pedal. A lever on the wingtip allows the wing to be lifted with the swashplate disengaged when moving.
The cutting height is infinitely adjustable between 50mm and 90mm. Its lightweight design and compact footprint make it highly manoeuvrable while preventing soil compaction, even during heavy rainfall. Powered by a 726cc Kawasaki twin-cylinder petrol engine, the RMK151 offers reliability and long operational periods on a single tank, thanks to its 12-liter fuel tank and hydrostatic transmission.
The ergonomic seat and handlebar make manoeuvring through narrow crop rows easy, with forward speeds up to 10 km/h and reverse speeds up to 7 km/h. Additional features include a durable 38mm tubular front axle with reinforced hinges, a 3.5mm anti-corrosion COR-TEN steel plate with a large front entrance and curved side profile for easy blade cleaning, and a continuous 35mm tubular frame connecting the front and rear to provide flexibility and resilience on uneven terrain, ensuring longevity and durability.
