Powered by a robust 6.5hp Briggs & Stratton OHV IC four-stroke engine, smooth power is delivered through a belt system to safeguard the crankshaft. Unlike direct drive systems, the V-belt drive offers better resistance to impacts and helps prevent unnecessary strain on both the engine and drive system.
The Masport chipper shredder operates in two modes, reducing waste material to at least 20% of its original volume:
- Wood Chipping: Branches up to 65mm in diameter can be fed through the chipper side chute, producing fine mulch ideal for composting.
- Shredding: Nine horizontally-arranged flail blades break down garden foliage into fine mulch.
Weighing 70kg, the Masport 6.5XL is built with a sturdy steel frame, a durable plastic hopper, and two pneumatic transport wheels for easy movement.
