The Handy 40″ Plug Aerator is ideal for aerating for easily compacted soil (like clay), heavy-traffic areas (playgrounds and sports fields), and burned out, drought-damaged lawns. Plug or Core aeration perforates the soil with small holes, allowing water, air and nutrients to penetrate and reach the grass roots. This helps those roots establish themselves even further, resulting in a healthier, stronger and more vigorous lawn. This kind of aeration is much more effective that Spike aeration.

The weight tray enables an adjustable working-depth, which can let you achieve up to 3″ ground penetration. Wide-profile pneumatic tyres spread the weight effectively to prevent damage to your lawn surface. Suitable for use with all makes of ride-on mower, the 40″ working-width allows fast coverage of large areas.
