Every Cobra scarifier has been expertly designed in the U.K to cater specifically for the changing conditions of the British lawn.
The Cobra S390B petrol scarifier is powered by a Briggs & Stratton 550 Series engine and has a full 15″ working width. The S390B comes with 16 fixed blades for the most complete scarifying experience.
Briggs & Stratton general purpose horizontal shaft engines are built to be tough, reliable and efficient. Feature for feature, they offer you the best value available and are perfect for powering Cobra petrol scarifiers.
Scarifying is the mechanical removal of surface thatch and moss from lawns which prevent the water, feed and oxygen penetration which help to grow lush, healthy grass. By removing the thatch & moss using a Cobra scarifier just once a month you’ll be giving your lawn more room to grow as well as allowing better peneration of nutrients to help it grow.
The Cobra S390B has been designed to make scarifying your lawn a simple and effortless task. The ergonomically positioned controls not only make operator use more comfortable, but more importantly, make using Cobra scarifiers as safe as possible.
The S390B is hand propelled for complete user freedom with working width of 38cm / 15 inch and an adjustable working height of between 0 – 10mm, while debris is collected in a 45L grass bag.
This Cobra machine is shipped without oil in the machine. Within the packaging there will be a sealed bottle of oil that must be decanted into your unit before the machine is started. Further information can be found in the operators manual. Please read this before starting. Failure to fill your machine with oil will result in a catastrophic failure that will not be covered under warranty.
New E10 Fuel & your Cobra
As you may be aware the current grade of petrol has recently changed in the UK to E10. E10 has been used in mainland Europe for some time & there have not been any major problems reported with its use in lawn mowers & garden tools.
We would however recommend the following to prolong the life of your Cobra:
- At the end of the season, or if you’re not going to use your Cobra for a long period of time, drain or run the fuel tank dry
- If you’re using E10 use Briggs & Stratton Fuel Fit additive
- You can always opt for Premium Unleaded fuel
